After graduating from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, Brian M. Cloud was licensed to practice law and admitted to the Alabama Bar Association and the Georgia Bar Association. Mr. Cloud joined a large Atlanta law firm, where, among other areas of practice, he began developing an expertise in foreclosures, evictions, retail, and commercial collections.

In 2003, Mr. Cloud relocated to Birmingham, where he began what is now the law firm of Cloud & Tidwell, LLC. Jay E. Tidwell, also a Cumberland Law School graduate, had practiced at a large Birmingham law firm before beginning The Tidwell Law Group. Mr. Cloud and Mr. Tidwell formed Cloud & Tidwell, LLC as a full service law practice. In July, 2008, the firm relocated to its present facility on Birmingham’s Southside, and expanded, growing from five to twenty-five employees. E. B. Harrison Willis, a Cumberland Law School graduate and former clerk to U.S. Bankruptcy Judge William F. Stone of Virginia, joined the firm at that time.
